Tax Preparation
Preparing your own income tax return can often leave you with more questions than answers, and most taxpayers believe they benefited from using a professional tax preparer.
Today’s tax laws are complex and ever-changing, and filing a relatively simple return can be frustrating. Often the issue isn’t what you include on the return, but what you may overlook when preparing your own return. It is common to overlook deductions and credits to which you are entitled, even when using the best tax software available. There’s no substitute for the assistance of an experienced tax professional.
Here’s where I come in…
- Your tax return will be checked by me, checked by my tax software, then rechecked by me. I want to ensure that your information is complete and accurate, and identify any potential problems which may raise a flag for the IRS.
- Your tax return will be filed electronically. If you are owed a refund, it will arrive faster when filing electronically.
- If necessary, I will show you how to adjust your payroll withholding to avoid any underpayment penalties next year.
- I will show you potential deductions to limit your tax liability for next year.
